Journey to Debrecen. I had never been to Hungary before. I had some private matters to take care of for a relative. I was quite concerned because I had not travelled abroad since 2019.
Even the airport procedures seemed odd to me. I continued to Google information on my destination, including the language, cuisine, and the school I was attending, which was founded in 1538.
These first searches reduced my nervousness as much as they increased my excitement for the journey. The journey went extremely smoothly, and I was pleased with myself. At my German connecting airport, I waited there watching every airplane land and go off. My dopamine level practically increases when I see airplanes land and take off. I find flying extremely fascinating.
As we landed in Budapest, all of my historical knowledge came flooding back. The global headquarters for spas is located in Budapest, the nation’s capital. I didn’t stay here for more than an hour before my cab came to pick me up to take me to Debrecen.
Now to Debrecen, my last stop. After Budapest, it is the second-largest city in Hungary. It serves as the county seat for Hajd-Bihar and the Northern Great Plains region. It is one of the most significant cultural centres for the Hungarian people and it is a city with county rights. It was the largest city in Hungary in the 18th century.
I went to the Post Office, then the Aquaticum Debrecen, a spa hotel with superior experiences, and I stayed at the Augusta hostel. The surroundings, the food, and the flowers all served to soothe my soul.
I went to Debrecen University, where I saw some of the most exquisite architectural masterpieces, one of which was created by a student. Observe this link… https://www.instagram.com/tv/CeyWo5qDHvR/?igshid=N2Y5NTAwYTk=
The setting for learning is excellent (in my personal opinion). Although I was only there for a short time, I walked to almost all of my destinations in order to explore and take in the lovely April weather. I didn’t want to go, but I know I will return since I have someone over today who is really important to me.
Even as I type this, I am still reliving the memories of that visit and grinning.
